The Earth Placemat is the primary surface of the Above — Earth collection. Land masses drift across deep navy canvas in layered directional stitch — gold, bronze, slate, and ocean blue accumulating across the surface in a continuous atmospheric composition. Constellation line work traces quiet orbits between them, punctuated by eight-pointed gold stars.
The composition shifts depending on the light and the angle you view it from. What appears flat from a distance reveals depth and texture up close — the result of thousands of individually placed stitches, built by hand through an industrial embroidery process developed over five years.
Made on 340gsm deep navy canvas. Double-sandwich construction for weight and structure. Finished with a raw fringe edge and a single blue run stitch border.
