Madison Street
This piece reflects my first time going to downtown Seattle alone. I took the bus through unfamiliar streets, not knowing exactly where I was going, until I arrived on Madison Street for a haircut. It was my first time navigating the city by myself, surrounded by people yet feeling completely alone.
Afterward, I walked without any destination. I remember feeling quiet, empty, and a little lost, moving through the city with no clear thoughts. That moment stayed with me — the stillness inside, even while everything around me kept moving. This work is a reconstruction of that memory, a small and personal moment of being alone in a new place.
